Stunning Pininfarina Sergio concept set for production
At any other international motor show, the Pininfarina Sergio would have just about stolen the show in Geneva this year. Sadly for Pininfarina, the Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1 managed to grab the main 2013 headlines.
But it would appear that the Sergio's beauty and charm didn't go unnoticed. Barely back from the Geneva Motor Show, Pininfarina is planning a limited production run for the beautiful two-seater.

What is the Pininfarina Sergio?
The Pininfarina Sergio was a concept unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show earlier this month. It was designed as a tribute to Pininfarina's former head, Sergio Pininfarina who passed away last year.
Pininfarina has now confirmed that the Sergio – a two-seat barchetta based on the Ferrari 458 Spider – will go into limited production.

What does the Pininfarina Sergio look like?
The Sergio has a pair of half doors that open vertically for easy access and maximum rigidity. At the front there's a set of cylindrical projectors using LED technology embedded in a crystalline block of Plexiglass. We suspect this won't make it into production.
Around the back you'll find further LED lights and a magnificent central mounted exhaust. It has to be said – the Pininfarina Sergio is a work of art. A beautiful thing.

What's the interior of the Pininfarina Sergio like?
To ensure the Sergio is production ready, Pininfarina has retained a great deal of the standard Ferrari 458 interior.
The light grey leather seats are introduced to match the titanium colour of the standard technical parts. Metal studs have been introduced to complement the exterior design theme. These studs probably sound more uncomfortable than they actually are.

What engine powers the Pininfarina Sergio?
It's the same engine as you'd find in the Ferrari 458 – therefore a 570hp 4.5-litre V8. At 1,280kg the Sergio is 150kg lighter than the 458, meaning it will accelerate to 62mph (approx. 100kmh) in just 3.4 seconds. A well driven Sergio could give a LaFerrari a run for its money on a track.
Having said that, the helmet would be an essential accessory – unless you enjoy picking dead flies from your teeth.

When does the Pininfarina Sergio go on sale and how much will it cost?
Buoyed by the reaction in Geneva, Pininfarina is said to be considered a strictly limited edition run of five or six Sergios.
The price is expected to be around £2.5 million (approx. $3,791,250). For that kind of money we’d hope for more than a pair of helmets for a roof…

Sydney: Tech giant Apple’s new smartphone, iPhone 5S, will reportedly be launched in three sizes.
Analyst Brian White said that from discussions with officials at an unnamed "tech-supply chain company" during a trip to China he learned that the iPhone 5S will be available in two, or possibly three, screen sizes, Mac Rumours reports. Mac Rumours reported that White said Apple now believes that one size per iPhone release does not work for everyone and offering consumers an option has the potential to expand the company’s market share.
White predicted the iPhone 5S to be released in July, News.com.au reports. He expects Apple to release a low-cost iPhone during the launch with a price range between 300 dollars and 350 dollars. Security analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, however, maintains that the iPhone will remain the same size.
He also says that the new phone will instead focus on improving the tech specs of the phone by improving the camera

Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG at the 2013 New York Motor Show

If you thought the latest Mercedes A-Class was a radical departure from its upright and conservative predecessors, just wait until you clap eyes on the CLA45 AMG.
Already wowing us at the Geneva Motor Show with the A45 AMG, we're now being treated to a hot version of the new CLA compact four-door coupe. Power comes from a 360hp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, with 4Matic four-wheel drive helping to ensure it sticks to the road.

The CLA45 AMG's 360hp makes it more powerful than an entry-level Porsche 911 – with the added benefit of two extra doors and a 470-litre boot. Porsche-taming pace in a car that's almost as practical as a C-Class – nice. It will accelerate to 62mph (approx. 100kmh) in around 4.5 seconds and go on to reach an electronically limited top speed of 155mph (approx. 250kmh).

The 4Matic four-wheel drive directs up to 50% of the car's power to the back axle, with the new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission re-engineered to cope with the car's brutal power. Naturally the brakes, steering and suspension have all received upgrades from the wizards at AMG.

Prices have yet to be announced but are likely to be knocking on the door of £40,000 (approx. $60,660) when the car goes on sale later this year. That's likely to be an additional premium of £3k to £4k (approx. $4.5k-6.7k)over the A45 AMG.

In many ways the CLA45 AMG will share the same rivals as the A45 hatchback – namely the likes of the VW Golf R, Audi RS3 Sportback and – perhaps chiefly – the BMW M135i.

It will undoubtedly have the power and headline figures to take them on, but it will also need the necessary finesse and sophistication to make it the finished article.

When was the last time you got excited about a compact saloon – even one masquerading as a coupe? We're scratching our heads here.

Subjectively it looks better than the A45 AMG and on paper at least it presents itself as a formidable talent. We can't wait to give it a try.

Chevrolet Camaro New York Motor Show 2013

Chevrolet Camaro stars at New York Motor Show 2013
The Chevrolet Camaro is an interesting sight on the roads and when you see one in the metal it's easy to see why. It's not that it doesn't look good – because it's every inch the American muscle car dream. It's just that it's – well – rather on the large size.
And it's not exactly subtle underneath either, with a whopping great 6.2-litre V8 engine at the front and rear-wheel drive for some classic tail-sliding action. The standard car gets a mild facelift here at the 2013 New York Motor Show, but Chevrolet has also unveiled its awesome new Camaro Z/28 track-focused model, pictured here.

Chevrolet Camaro New York Motor Show 2013

Chevrolet Camaro: what's hot, what's not
It's very much a refresh rather than a revamp for the fifth generation Camaro, but it's long overdue since the current car arrived in 2009. There's a redesigned front bumper, a new grille and some subtle tweaks to the rear end.
But the big news is on the inside where Chevrolet has worked hard to improve the quality – always one of its weakest points. As well as that, few cars offer so much power for so little money.

Chevrolet Camaro New York Motor Show 2013

When can I buy a Chevrolet Camaro? How much will it cost?
The current car is available for £35,285 (approx. $53,350), with the convertible starting at £40,285 ($60,900). Few cars offer so much power for so little cash.
There's no word on when the revised Camaro will be made available, but if it does, it will be in left-hand drive guise only. As for the Z/28, bank on having to import one of those yourself.

Chevrolet Camaro New York Motor Show 2013

What are the rivals for the Chevrolet Camaro?
It's hard to put the Camaro into a single category. It's current price point means it's up against the likes of the BMW M135i, the new Audi S3 Sportback and Mercedes A45 AMG. All of which will undoubtedly offer higher levels of refinement and greater driving finesse. The Camaro Z/28 is a proper American muscle car, so competition will come from the likes of the SRT Viper, Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
Few cars offer such a unique identity. Drive a Camaro and you will get noticed. Children will take photos of your car and you'll become well known in your street. If that's your kind of thing, the Camaro could be for you.

new Audi A3 and S3 saloons on sale this summer

TAKE A LOOK GUYS !!

Audi has revealed the first pictures and details of a pair of new compact A3 and S3 Saloons, the first ever ‘three-box’ saloon models to feature in Audi’s ‘3’ family of vehicles.
The new cars join the regular three-door hatchback and five-door Sportback A3 and S3 models, and will go on sale this summer. The Mercedes-Benz CLA just got some competition…

Opening the range is a 140hp 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol. Above that there’s also a 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol, producing 180hp – it’ll hit 62mph (approx. 100kmh) from rest in 7.3 seconds.

Initially, there’ll only be one turbodiesel engine on offer, in the form of Audi’s 150hp 2.0-litre TDI unit. It’ll complete the 0-62mph dash in a credible 8.4 seconds. Expect the smaller 1.6-litre diesel to feature later on.

The new A3 Saloon’s interior is identical to the pair of hatchback variants already available – but that’s no bad thing. The ergonomics of the current A3 family are good, and with leather available as an option, it’s comfortable too.

All models get Audi’s MMI radio interface with folding screen, “air conditioning or climate control”, DAB radio, Bluetooth, multi-function steering wheel and an iPod connection.

The S3 Saloon gets Audi’s drive select system, altering the car’s suspension dampers between Comfort, Auto, Dynamic, Efficiency and Individual modes, with options to adjust the throttle response, steering and gearbox, too.

The car also gets sports suspension, dropping the ride height by 25mm, as well as huge 340mm high-performance front brakes to contain the elevated speeds the 300hp family hot-rod will be able to achieve.

The best electric cars

GUYS this is one of the top electric car in whole world!!

Tesla Roadster

Awarded Car Of The Year 2011 and with deliveries starting this month, Nissan's LEAF underlines Renault-Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn's passionate belief in electric cars.
Costing Rs 18 lakh, the LEAF has the performance and practicality of any other C-segment hatch, though the price is way off the charts.

Tesla Roadster

You can't buy an electric MINI but they're out there on the roads already; 40 or so of the 612 already built have been handed out to specially selected applicants, who pay Rs 25,000 a month for it.
It's fast and fun, but the loss of the rear seats to the batteries is one major issue that needs to be addressed.

Tesla Roadster

The BMW group's second electric test vehicle following on from the MINI E, the 1 Series coupe-based Active E uses a rear-mounted, rear-drive electric drivetrain with batteries in the now vacant engine compartment.
170hp means 0-100mph in nine seconds and a range of around 150 kilometres.

Tesla Roadster

Every time we look at the Twizy we think 'surely, Renault's not really making it'. But it is!
Sexy, fun and - above all - cheap, Twizy stands out among electric cars with an entry price of 6,900 euro (Rs 4,50,000), plus 45 euro (Rs 2,700) a month battery lease.

Tesla Roadster

Like a super-sexy version of the Vauxhall Ampera, the Fisker Karma uses electric motors for propulsion and a conventional 2.0-litre petrol engine as a backup generator when required.
A 65-km electric-only range (500 km total), 0-100 kmph in as little as 5.9 seconds and 200 kmph back up the slinky looks.

It has a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with an F1-style power-boosting electric motor that even allows it to run as a silent pure EV – with zero emissions. It even has plug-in hybrid capabilities and can travel more than 12 miles (approx. 19km) in the city .

Porsche to celebrate 50th birthday of 911

Berlin: Sports car manufacturer Porsche will this year celebrate the 50th birthday of its flagship car, the 911.

Porsche to celebrate 50th birthday of 911
The anniversary is "the main topic of 2013", Porsche said at its headquarters in Stuttgart. The Porsche Museum in Stuttgart plans to present a special exhibition titled "50 years of Porsche 911" June 4-Sep 29.
The company also plans to send an original and unrestored 911 from 1967 out on a world tour. The first 911 - pronounced "nine eleven" -- was produced in 1963. It was originally called the 901, but Peugeot had already secured the rights to all three digit model numbers with a zero in the middle.
As a result, it was renamed the 911. With a total of 820,000 cars sold over seven vehicle generations, the 911 is the most successful sports car in the world, Porsche said.

Ford Figo Celebration Edition launch on 4th March

Ford Figo Celebration Edition launch on 4th March

The price of this special edition is expected to be marginally higher than the normal variant but it will be a product that is more charming than the current Figo that has already got a makeover recently

When a pilot fell asleep at the controls of his flight
The Ford Endeavour All Terrain Edition has managed to take precedence over the Ford Ecosport launch and it seems that the wait for the compact SUV will not be over soon. The reason is that the car maker has decided to launch the Ford Figo Celebration Edition on Monday. It is believed that this launch will be the last launch before the Ecosport arrives. It seems that Ford wants to linger on the anticipation for the Ecosport in order fetch full potential and it seems that it will launch when the anticipation is on its prime. Meanwhile, the new Figo Celebration Edition car will be a worth product in the line up as it celebrates the completion of three years of Figo in India. The price of this special edition is expected to be marginally higher than the normal variant but it will be a product that is more charming than the current Figo that has already got a makeover recently.
The launch of Ford Figo Celebration Edition on March 4 is also believed to infuse fresh lease of life to sales of this hatchback in the segment as the Maruti Swift and the recently launched Chevrolet Sail UVA have literally captured the market fully. The latest entry of the new Figo has to an extent expedited sales of this car but the real fuel to fire sales will be this Special Edition of Figo, it seems. As per the details available, the new edition of this small car will have some exclusive features including new colors, body decals, and a lot of additional equipments to really sensationalize the segment.
Apart from this, the car will have navigation feature besides a new audio system with touchscreen and voice control. Thus far Figo has been the best selling Ford car in India and it is Ford Fiesta that is next to it. The availability in diesel and petrol options is a big advantage of this car and its high fuel economy is what is it bets on. It is believed that the special edition Ford car will definitely draw a lot of enthusiasm in the market that seems to be dilapidated due to high interest rates and increasing fuel prices.

The BMW 328 - lightweight construction as a principle
The BMW 328 was also a special BMW insofar as the lightweight construction principle was systematically implemented on a BMW automobile for the very first time. Wherever possible, the lightest and at the same time most robust materials were used, thereby keeping the gross vehicle weight down to just 780 kilograms. In order to translate the idea of lightweight construction into this day and age, major parts of the exterior and interior of the BMW 328 Hommage are made of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP). Whilst in the old days they favoured the materials aluminium and magnesium, CFRP is now considered to offer the best ratio between weight and stability. The high-strength fibre fabric is lighter than aluminium, but also more stable. Wherever the material has been used on the BMW 328 Hommage, it is also visible.
