McLaren has revealed the incredible P1 supercar here at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Designed to be a boundary pushing new limited series hypercar, the new P1 is almost literally an F1 car for the road – designers from the McLaren race car team have worked alongside road car engineers to create the driver-focused machine.
The headline stats are stunning: 916hp, 217mph (approx. 349kmh) top speed and more aerodynamic downforce than any other road car, ever. It has a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with an F1-style power-boosting electric motor that even allows it to run as a silent pure EV – with zero emissions. It even has plug-in hybrid capabilities and can travel more than 12 miles (approx. 19km) in the city .
